Present the cashier with your weighbridge ticket to receive your payment. You must also supply us with your name, address, proof of identity and ABN. If you do not have an ABN, we will require you to sign a Statement from the Supplier.
Please note that we do not pay for scrap steel loads weighing under 500kg. You may, however, dump these loads free of charge.
ATO Code of Compliance
We adhere to the Australian Tax Office’s Code of Compliance for the scrap metal industry, and this means that we will withhold 46.5% of your payment and remit it to the Tax Office unless:
- The value of the transaction is less than $82.50; or
- You supply us with an ABN; or
- You can demonstrate a valid reason for not withholding and sign a Statement by Supplier to that effect.
