Tax Compliance

JK Recycling adheres to the Australian Taxation Office Code of Compliance for the Scrap Metal Industry.

This requires us to maintain certain records of any purchases of scrap metal we make. To assist us in complying please make sure that you have the following information with you when you are selling us scrap metal:

• Your ABN
• Your GST registration status (are you registered to collect GST?)

Note that if you do not have an ABN we can still purchase your scrap metal. We will, however, have to deduct 46.5% of the sale value from what we pay you unless you are able to complete a valid Statement by a Supplier indicating why you should be exempt.
